Antique 19th Century Micro-Mosaic Dove Pendant

A fine quality 19th century, Victorian micro mosaic pendant depicting two white (turtle) doves within a turquoise blue colour background.

Masterfully crafted from gold and highly ornate with rope edging and bead work. Finished off with a micro-mosaic pendant loop. The back locket has space for a portrait making it a unique gift.

The central white doves are painstaking created using tiny pieces or tube of coloured enamel glass and are there to symbolise eternal and everlasting love. It has been designed in Etruscan revival style which was very fashionable in the mid 19th century,
