Antique Victorian Shell Cameo and Pearl Gold Pendant Brooch, circa 1890

A lovely Victorian shell cameo and pearl pendant and brooch surmounted with pearls displaying a fine carving of a lady in the Greco-Roman style wearing drop earrings and a pendant around her neck. The gold mount is unmarked but tested as 15 carat yellow gold. This is a fine example of High Victorian craftsmanship. Measuring 1 5/8” high by 1 ¼" wide for the oval cameo section alone or 3” long in total to include the loop and pendant drop. The pendant loop is detachable and the drop is crafted in the style of a suspended bunch of grapes adding to the Greco-Roman theme. All the claw set pearls are perfectly matched and of good shape and size. A delicately carved example and in good order.
