Vintage Italian Akoya Pearl Long Necklace with Gem Set Clasp

A stunning and versatile long rope of Akoya cultured pearls, with two identical clasps. The 18ct gold clasps are each set with cabochon sapphires and rubies and brilliant cut diamonds, marked with Italian control marks. Circa 1980's.

The necklace can be worn as one long row, a single row or both rows together.

Pearls: well matched and average 9mm, (8.9mm-9.2mm), the colour is cream/white with subtle iridescence, minor marks and small blemishes.
Overall length: 92cms - 36 inches
